• Began composing classical music around age 10; arranging symphonic works by 15; sideswiped by great punk bands like The Clash, and turned toward alternative/modern music. Have written everything from classical to country, pop, to techno, to metal. My favorite is when genres merge. In addition to countless songs, I've also written a two act ballet (to a storyline based on Faust), numerous short scenes to "Alice in Wonderland"; a soundtrack to a short indy film ("Wake Up"); a classical tone-poem which I wrote and arranged which was performed by my school orchestra, and various other symphonic pieces. Did limited live playing with a few different groupings of people over the years. I played bass exclusively live (and did backing vox).

• Co-wrote/edited the short indy film "Black Strawberries." Wrote the soundtrack to "Wake Up" (Short film.) Several books (short and long), screenplays, and stories. Some of my favorites are: Silicon Angels (parts 1 and 2), Always and Never, Nomads, The Baby Pig series (children's stories), DoodleHeads (comics), The Farther Side (really weird comics), Gamma Boy, Jasmine, Pasquinade, To be Perfectly Frank, Zero and a half, and of course: dark-house. I also wrote teleplays for episodes of Seinfeld and X-Files (though never submitted them.)

• When I'm in my vegetarian mode: a good Greek salad, angel hair pasta with red sauce, and coarse bread dipped in spicy olive oil with a spot of red wine. When I'm in carnivorous mode: cajun-blackened peppercorn filet mignon (rare), or veal parmesan.

• When I get email chain-letters; or email hoaxes that have been forwarded to me. People owe it to themselves to do a little research before forwarding mindless schlock on to others, not to mention the potential for infecting computers and networks (your own and others) with viruses for not being aware of what is coming into and going out of your PC. If you get ANYTHING like that, do a search on google with a few key words from the first sentence and search on, like: "hoax urban legend multiple uses of Bounce" or whatever.
